Gladys M. Turvey Gladys M. (Haught) Turvey, 90, of Carlisle St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Oct 18, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1913 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late John H. and Blanche L. Knowlton Haught. She was a retired employee of Martins Ferry Eagles, a member of First Christian Church, and Eagles # 456 Ladies Auxiliary both of Martins Ferry. In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles O. Turvey, two sons Edward and John Turvey, and two sisters Iva Semelveis and Bertha Haught. Surviving are her son Charles W. Turvey and his wife Jane of St. Clairsville, two brothers Charles Haught and his wife Zelma, and Harry Haught, a sister Inus Hayman all of Martins Ferry, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tues., Oct 21, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.
