Gladys Jane Murray Helt, 82 of Bridgeport, Passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 in her residence.  She was born February 15, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, to the late Dora (Watkinson) and Albert Murray. Graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School Class of 1957. Former Executive Director of the Ohio Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. Retired from American Plate Glass. Methodist by faith. Preceded in death by infant daughter Shirley Ann Helt and infant granddaughter Courtney Alicia Telfer; half-sisters Marjorie (Carl) Moore and Mildred Murray; half-brothers Charles (Mary) Murray, Glenn (Beverly) Murray, and Howard (Ruth) Murray; and brother-in-law Fred Dickerson.

She is survived by sister, Naomi Murray Dickerson of Mt. Pleasant; children, Teresa Walker of Lenoir City, TN, Barbie Ray of Bridgeport, George (Stacy) Helt of Sugar Grove, and Beth Thompson of Owingsville, KY; grandchildren, Matthew (Brittany) Telfer and BJ (Maranda) Telfer of TN; Andrew (Lexie) Lough of CT; Stephanie Jane Hunt, Zachary Coe, and Devin Villani of KY; Nicholas Helt and Natalie Jane Helt of OH; and great-grandchildren Ansley, Abby and Annora Telfer, Aiden, Carson, Steven, and Olivia Telfer, Zayden and Acelyn Lough, and Alaina Jane Villani.

Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am in the funeral home with Reverend James Hoff officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
