Glenn W. Reese, 78, of S. Third St., Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born May 7, 1929 in Toronto, OH the son of the late William L. and Iva G. (McDonald) Reese. He worked for the former A & P Grocery Store for 38 years, was manager of the former Super Duper Grocery, and meat manager for the former Shop & Save. Glenn was past District Commander of the American Legion and former Post Commander of American Legion Post #38, past president and member of Rotary, member of Eagles Aerie #456, and Elks Lodge #895 all of Martins Ferry, honorary member of the Martins Ferry Fire Dept. Vigilant Engine Co. and the E-Squad, past City Councilman, and a veteran of the U.S. Army Korea. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna J. (Steinman) Reese. Surviving are two daughters Ann (George) Regas of Martins Ferry and Paula Ware of Knoxville, TN, three grandchildren Athena Regas, Michael Reese, and Christopher Ware, a great grandchild Seth Reese, and his companion Nancy Biehl. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Toronto Union Cemetery, Toronto. The Belmont Co. Council of the American Legion will hold military honors at the funeral home prior to services.
