Glenna A. (Bowery) Kitson, 90, of N. 8th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at home. She was born Nov. 25, 1917 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Charles and Lotie Mae (Rush) Bowery. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George K. Kitson and ten brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son George (Judi) Kitson of Omaha, NE, three daughters Sharon (Stanley) Minder, Su Kitson, and Becki (Charles) Baker all of Martins Ferry, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 10 -12 noon at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 pm at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Elevator Fund, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935 or Valley Hospice, 10686 Ste Rte. 150, Rayland, OH 43953.
