Glenna E. Cain, 86, of Fairfax, Virginia and formerly of Belmont, Ohio, died April 10, 2015 at Med Star Washington Hospital. She was born July 28, 1928 in Belmont, Ohio, daughter and the fourth of five children to the late Alger E. White and Elva A. Scatterday White. A Belmont High School graduate, Glenna married her husband, Dale and they began their new chapter as dairy farmers, raising their family, and being faithful members of the Belmont Church of Christ. During the 1970s and 80s, Glenna was a contributing reporter for local newspapers, writing on topics such as interest to farmers, school board activities, and the county fair. After Dale's death in 2000, Glenna remained on the family farm for several years. In 2008 she moved to Fairfax, Virginia, where she joined the Fairfax Church of Christ, becoming very active in many groups and activities. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and Roland White and sister, Kathleen Moan. Glenna is survived by her children, Linda (Delbert) Myers of Wheeling, West Virginia, Darryl (Linda) Cain of Moline, Illinois, Donald Cain of Pickerington, Ohio, Daniel and David Cain both of Fairfax, Virginia; grandchildren, Adam Myers, Matthew, Andrew, and Grace Cain; and sister, Eloise Secrest of North Carolina. Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Friday 11 a.m. Evangelist Kim McFarland officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Level Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
