Greta (McCartney) Smith, 76, of Colerain, OH died Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. She was born Sept. 12, 1931 in Morgantown, WV a daughter of the late Herldon and Edith (Ferrell) McCartney. She was a Licensed Real Estate Agent working with her husband for the Bob Smith Realty Company of Colerain. Greta was formerly a secretary for the Dietary Dept. of the Martins Ferry City Schools. She was a long time member and former deacon and elder of the Colerain Presbyterian Church of Colerain and a member of Celestine Chap. #185 Order of Eastern Star of Clermont County. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Eldred, Billy, and Eustus McCartney, and two sisters Jean Kasal and Joanne Freeman. Surviving are her husband Robert C. "Bob" Smith, a son Robert R. Smith of Farmington, OH, a daughter Carol Busby of Bellaire, OH, three grandchildren; Aimee Valle, and Lindsey and Chris (and their mother Kim), and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH . Friends will then be received Saturday, Mar. 29, 2008 from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am at the Colerain Presbyterian Church, Colerain where Rev. John A. Brown will officiate.
