Harley A. Carrothers, Sr. Harley A. Carrothers, Sr., 84, of Swingle Rd., Farmington, Bridgeport, OH died Thurs. Feb. 21, 2002 at home. He was born Sept. 11, 1917 in Unionvale, OH a son of the late Charley and Ada (Chance) Carrothers. He was a retired employee of the former Blaw-Knox Foundary, Wheeling, WV and a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, five sisters and one great grandson. Surviving are his wife Rose (Pritchett) Carrothers, three sons Harley A. Carrothers, Jr. of Cincinnati, Frank L. Carrothers of Colerain and Roger L. Carrothers of Massillon, a daughter Pat Kenenske of Colerain and nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Friends will be received Sun. 12-3 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Mon. at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport, OH.
