Harman D. Whiteley, 79, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away
Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born March 3,
1932 outside of Fairview, Ohio, son of the late Benjamin Whiteley
and Mary (Jewell) Whiteley.
Harman, a life resident of the Barnesville and Bethesda area, was a
farmer, heavy equipment operator, and was also employed at
Ohio Valley Paving. In addition to his parents, he is preceded
in death by several brothers and sisters.
Harman is survived by his wife; Janet (Gibbons) Whiteley, daughter;
Judy (Tom) Butler, son; David (Randy) Whiteley, one brother;
Wayne, and two sisters; Jean and Linda, five grandchildren;
Amanda (Gary) Hagan, Dustin Butler, Jennifer Austin, Angela Woods,
and David Whiteley, Jr., several great grandchildren, including
two special great grandchildren; Kara and Evan Hagan.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 PM at
with Rev. Bob Merritt officiating. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
