Harold R. "Bud" Knutsen, 93, a life long residence of Scotch Ridge, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Aug. 13, 1918 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Andrew and Lucia (Finney) Knutsen. He was retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Bud was a member of the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry, and the former Eagles Lodge Aerie #995, Bridgeport, OH. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Frank and Carl Knutsen, and a sister Virginia Dougerty. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Lois (Heburn) Knutsen, a son, Bill (Lessie) Knutsen of Guysville, OH, two daughters, Ruth (Dwain) Knutsen Holler of Cuyahoga, Falls, OH, and Judy (Bob) Morris of Hernando, FL., ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Private services were held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Byron McElroy officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Burial followed at Scotch Ridge Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
