Harold R. Fowkes, 78, of Centersville, Ohio, passed away on December 12, 2016 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Bellaire, Ohio, November 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Mary and Vernon Fowkes.
He was an Army veteran, proudly serving his country and worked 46 years as an auto body technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending truck and tractor pulls.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley, Walter and Donald
Harold is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth; two sons, Robert (Donna) Fowkes, Richard (Kathy) Fowkes, all of Bethesda, Ohio; daughter, Brenda Fowkes; six grandchildren, Brianna Fowkes, Mike (Anne) Fowkes, Dustin (Andrea) Fowkes, Dylan Fowkes, Bethany (Marty) White, and Tim Carleton; six great-grandchildren, Andilena, Gavin, Mason, Keaton, Elliot Fowkes, Aubrey Carleton; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service for Harold will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
