Harold C. "Punky" Friend 75, of St. Clairsville passed away Wednesday August 9, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born September 22, 1947, in Germany, a son of the late Paul E. and Gerda R. (Reichstein) Friend.

He was a welder for the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, and a Veteran in the US Army in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Stacy Flick, a brother Werner Petschke.

Harold is survived by his daughter Rhonda Friend, and brothers Norman (Ardie) Friend and his nephew Scott Friend of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Steve (Karen) Friend of Dayton.

Friends are invited to a graveside service at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove on Friday at 1 pm, with Rev. James Hoff officiating, full military graveside services will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside assisting the family.
