Harry W. Milburn, 93, of Flushing, Ohio, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center. He was born October 15, 1920 in Harrisville, Ohio, son of the late Alvadore Milburn and Lettie A. Moreland Milburn.
A Baptist by faith, Harry was retired from Consolidation Coal Company and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. A World War II Army Veteran, he served in Central Europe as a member of the 411th Coast Artillery Battalion Anit-Aircraft. Harry enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wonderful grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Bertha Carter and Mary Hopkins; and brother, Paul Milburn.
Harry is survived by his wife, Mary E. Milburn of Flushing; daughters, Janice (George) Millward of Wooster, Marlene (Mike) Busby of Galloway; son, Rick (Connie) Milburn of Bethesda; grandchildren, Jackie Riley, Michelle (Brent) Harris, Matt (Angie) Milburn, Ryan (Kayla Brown) Milburn, Mandy Milburn; great-grandchildren, Jenna Harris, Dalton Milburn, J.T. and Justin Riley, Madison Vargo; and great-great-grandchildren, Kaleigh and Kristopher Riley.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Monday 1 p.m. Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing, Ohio.
