Pancoast, Hazel Mae Howell, 89, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Friday August 6, 2010 at the home of her daughter in North Huntingdon, PA. Hazel was born at Bethesda, Ohio on December 30, 1920 a daughter of the late Harvey and Amy Duke Hatcher. She was a retired employee of the Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry A. Howell and her second husband Harold E. Pancoast; a son, Henry A. Howell Jr.; brothers: Russell, Ray and Warren Hatcher; and three sisters: Dorothy Devore, Mary Summers and Martha Still. Hazel is survived by a son, Richard E. Howell and his wife Virginia of Mingo Junction; a daughter, Nancy Broadway and her husband Donald of North Huntingdon, PA., nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday 5-8 pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio where services will be held Wednesday August 11, 2010 at 10:00 am, with pastor Sam Davis, officiating.
