Helen (Pappas) Antosz, 80, of Bridgeport, OH died Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home. She was born December 18, 1935 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late John (Papadekis) Pappas and Anna (Georgakakis) Pappas. She was a long time employee of Shutlers IGA, Martins Ferry, OH. Helen was Greek Orthodox by faith and a member of the Tops Chapter of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are her husband of 61 years Anthony J. "Joe" Antosz, children, Andrew (Jane) Antosz, Sr. and Tonia (Mark, Sr.) Scammell all of St. Clairsville, OH and grandchildren, Mark Andrew Scammell, Jr, Bryan Scammell and Andrew Antosz, Jr. all of St. Clairsville, OH and Jennifer Antosz Thoburn of Wheeling, WV. Friends will be received Sunday 12-3 p.m. & 5-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Ziebarth officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
