Helen E. Kinney, 96, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away May 28th, 2017 at Park Health. She was born May 28th, 1921 in Colerain, OH, a daughter of the late Vern and Helen (Sharkey) Thoburn. She was a 1939 graduate of Mt. DeChantal Visitation Academy, worked in Washington D.C. until the end of WWII, was a secretary for Nationwide Insurance, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Kinney; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Helen is survived by her children; Janice (Rick) Frye of St. Clairsville, Judi (Richard) Conaway Sr. of Martins Ferry, James (Robin) Kinney of St. Clairsville, Jane (Jerry) Parsons of St. Clairsville, Leon (Helen) Kinney Jr. of Colerain; sister, Dorothy (Michael) Raimondi of Fr. Lauderdale, FL; 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday, June 2nd 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Colerain with Fr. Timothy McGuire serving as celebrant.
