Helen Louise Hood, 85, of Bridgeport, OH, passed Wednesday December 30, 2015 at Shadyside Care Center. She was born in Bridgeport on June 3, 1930, a daughter of the late John and Rose Gleaver Pintarich. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clayton "Potsie" Hood, a sister Caroline Millard and brothers: John, Pete, Robert, Frank, Ted, and Jerry Pintarich. Helen is survived by a son Martin Hood of Tampa, FL, daughters: Kim (Bob) Craig of Martins Ferry, Paula Appugliese of Washington, PA, brother Richard Pintarich of Boydsville; sister Marlene Robinson of Pickerington, OH, eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday 5 to 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday January 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Bridgeport, with Rev. John Mucha as celebrant.
