Helen May (Johnson) Briggs, 89, of Glasgow, WV died Friday, October 28, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 11, 1927 in Cecil, PA. a daughter of the late Charles E. Johnson and Emma (Neely) Johnson Nutter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ivor L. "Bud" Briggs, Sr., who lovingly called her "Honey May", son Ivor L. "Buddy" Briggs, Jr., infant daughter, Connie Lou Briggs, five sisters and a brother. Surviving are her children; Sharon Edwards of Glasgow, WV, Henry (Karen) Briggs of Valley Grove, WV and Michael (Beth) Briggs of Granger, IN., four grandson, eight great grandchildren and a great great grandchild due in March. Friends will be received Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas N.
