Helen M. Kouski, 88, of Bridgeport, Ohio passed away Wednesday June 1, 2016 at County Club Retirement Community in Bellaire, Ohio. She was born December 8, 1927 in Brookside, a daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Palichowski) Kouski. Helen was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Wheeling, where she sang in the choir, a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Main Office Wheeling, and a volunteer at Wheeling Hospital. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her brothers; Alexander, and Fred, who were killed in WW II, Ben and John Kouski and her sisters; Blanche Kouski and Rose Kaveski, and nephews Stanley Edwin Kaveski, and Fred Kouski. Helen is survived by her three nephews Tom (Ronda Duke) Kouski of Wheeling, Walter F. (Claire Matz) Kaveski of Bridgeport, John Kouski of Columbus, four great nieces Teri Marie (Kaveski) Stevens of Martins Ferry, Kristin Marie (Kouski) Francis of Richmond, VA, Markie and Logan Kouski of Columbus; and a great nephew, Brad Thomas Kouski of Wheeling; great- great nieces and nephews Brittni Marie, Sydney Nicole, and Anthony Walter Preslin, and Francesca Davis and Avery Francis. Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Brookside on Sunday June 5, 2016 from 12 until 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church Bridgeport on Monday at 10 am with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Blaine.
