Helen Larew, 76, of Malaga, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 12, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born January 16, 1946, near Malaga, a daughter of the late Fred and Betty Persons Vaness.

"Mammy," as Helen was lovingly referred to by everyone who knew her, was happiest when she was spending time with family and extended family, watching her grandchildren's sporting events, and watching the Cleveland Indians.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 51 years, Ross; her children, Betty (Chunk) Hudson, Amy (Dennis) Carpenter, and Bubba Larew; four grandchildren, Bode, Baylee, Breelyn, and Krede; also many friends including Shannon Anderson. Helen was a mother of three and grandmother of five, however she has been a "Mom" and "Mammy" to countless others throughout the years.  In addition to her parents, Fred and Betty, Helen was preceded in death by her grandson, Dusty Wilcox on April 15, 2022.

Family and friends will be welcomed at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel, Beallsville, Ohio Tuesday, August 16 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm where funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17 at 11am. Burial will follow in Boston Cemetery.
