Helen L. (McCarty) Boyer, 95, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Shadyside, and Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. She was born July 13, 1918 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late John E. and Marie (Michael) McCarty. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry and a former volunteer at East Ohio Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Boyer. Surviving are her children; Roy A. (Linda) Boyer of Yorkville, OH and Kathleen M. Boyer of Irvine, CA, grandchildren; Chad Allen (Shyla) Boyer and Jill L. Boyer and great grandchildren; Hannah and Haleigh Boyer. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating. Burial follows in Belmont County Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, OH.
