Obituary

Helen Conaway, 98, of Bridgeport, OH passed away September 15, 2020 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.

She was born March 31, 1922, in Bridgeport, OH, a daughter of the late Louis and Nellie (Walters) Stanchina.

Helen was a truck driver for Garvins Dairy during WWII.  She retired as a press operator at Wheeling Stamping.  She married the love of her life in 1942.  They raised four beautiful children.  Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurt and the C.W.C.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Conaway in 1987; daughter, Helen Holdaway; son, Edward Conaway; sisters, Maggalen Denbaugh, Catherine Brown, Mary Fisher; brother, Louis Stanchina; and daughter-in-law, Genny Conaway.

Helen is survived by her sons, Arthur "Butch" (Betty) Conaway of Bridgeport, Richard "Dick" Conaway of Blaine; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday, September 17th from 5p.m. until 8p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 18th at 10a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave. Bridgeport, OH with Fr. John Mucha serving as celebrant.   Interment at St. Anthony Cemetery in Blaine.
