Helen Green 93 passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, at her home. She was born May 6, 1928, in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma (Kilgore) Wensyel.

Helen was retired from the Wheeling Park Commission after many years of service. She was a member of the Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sam Green, daughter Kelly Green, son in law Joe Velkovich, siblings; Dorothy Williams, Robert Wensyel, Cecil Wensyel, Mary Lou Trouten, Nancy Abbott, Myrtle Erbe and Betty Anderson.

She is survived by her daughters; Joy Velkovich of Bridgeport and Sheree (Jeff) Wojcik of Martins Ferry, grandchildren; Tiffany Wolfe, A.J. Thompson and Samantha Wojcik, great-grandchildren; Landon and Addison, siblings; Gloria Flower and Jack Wensyel.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Brookside, Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 11 until time of service at 1pm with Rev. Jim Hoff officiating. Burial to follow at Weeks Cemetery.
