Henry C. "Coke" Kozel Jr., 88 of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away Tuesday May 3rd at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV. He was born September 7th, 1927 in Bridgeport, OH a son of the late Henry Kozel Sr. and Rose (Liska) Kozel. He was a retired instructor in Agricultural and Diesel Sciences at Belmont JVS. Henry attended Marshall University. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Wolfhurst where he was in the choir. He was in the 82nd Airborne in WWII. He was also a former Fire Chief of the Wolfhurst Fire Department, a member of M+ME, and the FFA. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae (Mours) Kozel, a daughter Jean A. Reckner, and a sister Delores J. Kozel. Henry is survived by his son John M. Kozel of Bridgeport, and daughters; Janet Lee (Bill) Vitchner of Martins Ferry, Jackie Lynn Kozel of Selma, North Carolina, and Julie Ann (Dean) Parker of Centerville, OH, and a sister Shirley Ann (Jim) Brown of Powhatan Point, OH along with 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grand Child, and his faithful companion Daisy. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio on Friday May 6th, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, wake service will be recited at 2 pm at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha as Celebrant.
