Henry "Herk" Lazasz, 81, of Tiltonsville, Ohio, passed Saturday March 1, 2014 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Tiltonsville on March 23, 1932, a son of the late Joseph and Etta Ragase Lazasz. Herk was a retired educator and coach, serving at Warren Consolidated and Buckeye Local Schools; OVAC Hall of Fame Inductee; Dapper Dan Member, OHSAA Coaches Hall of Fame, NEA member, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Florence Joann Applegarth Lazasz on December 18, 2003. Henry is survived by a son William (Roxanne) Lazasz of Wintersville, Ohio; daughters: Deborah (Wayne) Hilliard of Coshocton, Ohio, Mary (Robert) Sempkowski of Texas, Lisa (Blake) Maresh of Washington; a brother Donald (Jule Ann) Lazasz of Rayland; seven grandchildren: Rachael and Louie Stephenson; Brittany Lazasz; Robert and Gabrielle Sempkowski; and Garrett and Olivia Maresh; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday March 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, with Msgr.
