Herbert Lewis Barritt, 96, passed away peacefully at home in Grove City, OH on Saturday, March 25, 2023.  He was born on March 10, 1927, to the late Estella (Chambers) Barritt and Chester Barritt of West Wheeling, Ohio.

Herb was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (Martin) Barritt, and son Richard Barritt.  He is survived by his other 3 children: Patricia (Charles) Morrisey, David (Lorrie) Barritt, and Carol (Jerry) Smith; four grandchildren: Daniel (Becky) Harrigan, Jason (Amy) Harrigan, Jacob Barritt, and Alyssa Barritt; and 2 great grandchildren: Daniel Harrigan and Daisy Harrigan.

He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.  He and his 5 brothers served in the US Military during WWII.  They were all in Germany at the same time and all came home as proud US Veterans.

To honor his time in the Army, there will be a Military Salute at 2:00 p.m. at the Foresters Club located at 55935 W 2nd Street, Bridgeport, OH on Wednesday, March 29th, followed by A Celebration of Life where friends and family will be received.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice, as there is not a facility to send flowers.
