Herbert A. Wolf, 84, formerly of St. Clairsville, OH died Mon., Jan. 3, 2005 at the Inn at Chestnut Hill, Columbus, OH. He was born Oct. 5, 1920 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Joseph and Sophia (Kress) Wolf. He retired as a central office repairman for the former Ohio Bell Telephone Co. Herb was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, the former V.F.W. Post #3613 of Martins Ferry, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army of WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen M. (Kress) Wolf and a sister Angela Golden. Surviving are a son Scott A. Wolf and his wife Mary Ann of Gahanna, OH, a daughter Linda McKinley of Los Angeles, CA, and a grandson Tyler B. Biddle. Friends will be received Wed. 5-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, OH with Rev. H. Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Burial follows in Belmont Co. Memorial Park, St. Clairsville.
