Hilda P. (Ramsay) Thompson, 93, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Mar. 26, 2005 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, OH. She was born Dec. 10, 1911 in Armstrong Mills, OH a daughter of the late Lewis W. and Hattie B. (Brown) Ramsay. She retired from the former F. W. Woolworth Co. and was a member of the First U. Methodist Church both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Thompson and a sister Geneva Kocher. Surviving are two sons Frederic (Margaret) Thompson of Columbus, OH and Richard A. (Judy) Thompson of Obetz, OH, two daughters Martha (Don) Weber of Martins Ferry and Karen (Raymond) Swearingen of Baltimore, OH, a brother Wallace Ramsay of Belmont, and two sisters Dessie Robey of Belmont and Wanda Stewart of Castalia, OH, eleven grandchildren, and twenty one great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 7-8 PM and Wed., Mar. 30, 2005 from 10:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Pastor Ralph Short officiating. Burial follows in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, OH.
