Hilda M. (Saffell) Pugh, 77, of Broadway St., Martins Ferry, OH died Fri., May 12, 2006 at home. She was born Apr. 26, 1929 in Glencoe, OH a daughter of the late Ernest and Ester (Dingey) Saffell. She was retired from the former Wheeling Stamping Co. of Warwood, WV and a member of the First U. Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Creed L. Pugh and a brother Ernest Saffell. She was a very special person to her family and friends including two sons Randy (Pam) Pugh and Gary (Rose) Pugh both of Martins Ferry, a daughter Deanna (Mike) Sall of Martins Ferry, a brother Hobert (Debbie) Saffell of Glencoe, four sisters Betty Liddle and Norma Rigolie both of St. Clairsville, OH, Carol (Jay) Schneider of Chambersburg, PA and Debbie (Fred) Perkins of Belmont, OH, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tues., 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut a Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., May 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry Hall officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
