Homer Bohandy, 89, of Barnesville, Ohio was welcomed into the arms of the Lord, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born July 26, 1925 in Barnesville, Ohio, son of the late Albert and Amone Bohandy. A devoted father, he was the owner/operator of El Toro Restaurant. Homer proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving in the South Pacific, during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nell Boughner and brothers, Baker Bohandy, Jimmy Bohandy, and Joe Bohandy. Homer is survived by his sons, David Bohandy of Riverside, CA and Albert Jr. Bohandy "AJ" of Barnesville; daughters, Deborah Bohandy of Los Angeles, CA, Diane James of Arlington, TX, Christina Hoover of Somerville; grandchildren, Breanna, Brooke, Nick, Jesse, Carissa, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Payton, Ambra, Zoey, Marley, Jordan, and Jackson; sisters, Ann Bohandy of Tampa, FL and Barbara Godlewski of Chula Vista, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Thursday, November 13th from 10 a.m. until noon, Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A Graveside Service will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
