HOWARD "CHUCK" DICKERSON, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Sunset Health Care in Adena. He was born April 18, 1916 in Murray City, Ohio, the son of the late Edgar and Bessie (McDowell) Dickerson. Chuck was a retired electrician for Consol Coal in Georgetown. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and was a Past Treasurer for the United Mine Workers Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Alice Dickerson; a daughter Janice Kay Dickerson; a sister Grace Smith; and three brothers Raymond, Orville and Fred Dickerson. Chuck is survived by a daughter Carol Hastings and her husband Robert of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters Garnett Schwaller of Brainerd, MN and Esther McCue and her husband Hobart of Salem, OH; a sister in-law Naomi Dickerson of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren Robin Rozenek and her husband John of Rayland, Michelle Eikenberry and her husband Vern of Mt. Pleasant, Robert Hastings and his wife Kathy of Easley, SC, Charla Kelley and her husband Sean of Mt. Pleasant and Stacey Twarog and her husband Bill of Dillonvale; eight great grandchildren Amanda and Jeremy Eikenberry, Sean and Kalyn Kelley, Alexandra and John Rozenek and Evan and Tyler Hastings; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale. Friends are then invited to attend visitation Saturday from 10 am until the time of the funeral services at 11 am at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Reverend James Hildebrand officiating.
