Howard L. Neer Sr, 89, of Broadway Street, Martins Ferry, passed away October 30, 2021, at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born December 21, 1931, in Wheeling the son of the late Harry and Pearl (Nice) Neer.

Howard was retired from Nickles Bakery, Inc. on the assembly line. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lois (Bickel) Neer, children Carol Neer, stepchildren Norma Brown, Joe (Harry) Wilson and Hidi (Neer) Foley brothers Franklin and Harry Neer, Jr. and sisters Ann and Irene Neer.

Surviving are his children, Howard (Sherry) Jr. of Adena, Sharon (William Hall) of Martins Ferry; stepson David (Debbie) Hilliman; sisters Alice Jean Neal of Wheeling and Barbara Bear of Bridgeport; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren complete the family.

According to Howards wishes all services will be private and burial will be held at the Olive Branch Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
