Howard Samuel Redinger, 76, of Prospect Heights, IL, passed away peacefully with his two children by his side on January 17th, 2021. Howard was born and raised in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of the late Herschel and Laura (Armstrong) Redinger. Howard was much loved by his brothers, Robert (Sally dec.) and David (Colleen) Redinger, and his late sisters, Margaret Ann (Nelson, dec.) and Nancy (Bill) Dorsey. He was the devoted father of David H. (Linnea) Redinger and Anne (David) Bush and proud grandfather of Lucas and Claira Bush. His children and grandchildren will be forever grateful for the time spent with their dad and grandpa. He will be dearly missed by his former wife and friend, Sarah Stannard, his long-time caregiver, Emmanuel Lucero, and by many nieces and nephews.

Howard will fondly be remembered as a devoted family man, Certified Public Accountant, US Army veteran, and life-long fan of Ohio State University football. He enjoyed spending time with family, eating out at the finest restaurants, watching sports and classic movies, going to the symphony, and following the stock market. He especially enjoyed the yearly Redinger reunions at various Ohio State Parks. A family memorial service was held with military honors at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio. Donations may be made in Howard's memory to St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 1095 East Thacker St., Des Plaines, IL, 60016, where he faithfully attended services for many years.
