Howard D. "Nick" Shaffer, Jr., 65, of Morristown, Ohio, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at his home. He was born September 7, 1949 in Alexandria, Virginia, son of the late Howard D. Shaffer and Marie Guenette Shaffer. Nick, as he was known to all, had worked at Whiteside of St. Clairsville, serving as the manager of the body shop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Shaffer. Nick is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rebecca Shaffer of Morristown, Ohio; daughters, Melissa Bowman of Bellaire, Ohio, Crystal Shaffer of Wintersville, Ohio, Stephanie (John) Lamourine of Port Washington, Ohio, Danielle Shaffer and Amanda Shaffer both of Morristown, Ohio; son, Zachary Shaffer of Morristown, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and sister, Nina.
