Ian Thomas Burwell 43, of Wheeling passed away Thursday May 25, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born February 7, 1980, in Wheeling, a son of Mark Burwell of Tiltonsville and Sandra Morehead of Martins Ferry.

Ian was a former employee of Wheeling Racetrack and Casino, and an avid baseball fan.

In addition to his father and mother he survived by his stepmother Tammy Burwell, two brothers William Colin Burwell of Martins Ferry, and Chad Deters of Rayland.

According to Ian's wishes there will be no visitation and private interment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens.
