Inez Dorothy Davidson Dukes, 96, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on December 31st 2013, at Liza's Hospice Care Center in Wheeling surrounded by her family. She was born on December 1st, 1917, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Keagy Davidson.She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ellsworth, in 1999, her daughter, Carol Sue, in 2001, 12 siblings, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.Inez dedicated her life as a loving housewife and caregiver to her husband and daughter, Carol Sue. She was member of Bridgeport Church of God, where she served faithfully as a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher and member of the choir.She is survived by her son Philip (Bobbie) Dukes, of Moundsville, her daughter Debbie (Fred) Henceroth, of Rayland, her grandchildren Casey Henceroth of Columbus, Michael (Chelsea) Dukes of Mililani, Hawaii, and Aaron (Colette) Henceroth of Urbana, and her great-granddaughters Isabella Henceroth and Teagan Smith. She is also survived by two nieces, Judy Carter of Martins Ferry and Sally Fry of St. Clairsville, and two great nieces.Friends and loved ones will be received Friday, January 3rd, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at Bridgeport Church of God,859 National Road Bridgeport, Ohio on Saturday, January 4th with friends being received at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., officiated by Reverend Tom Tennant. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove. The family is grateful for the many wonderful caregivers whose loving care and support allowed Inez to remain in her home until her final days.
