Irene Genevieve ?Jennie? (Whiteside) Easthom, 84, of Tiltonsville, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Liza's Place, Valley Hospice South, in Wheeling. She was born October 6, 1925 in Vienna, IL, daughter of the late Fred David and Melissa Irene (Wood) Whiteside. In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Easthom; a younger brother, Samuel Sherman Whiteside and younger sister Katharine Louise Whiteside. Jennie was united in marriage to John Lawrence (Johnny) Easthom at her Uncle Omar & Aunt Ethel (Jackie) Taylor's front yard in Vienna, IL on February 18, 1948. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Caroline Easthom Davis and her husband Roger Lee Davis, Sr. of Rayland, OH; grandsons, Roger Lee Davis, Jr. and his wife Amy Jo (Besece) Davis of Rayland, OH and Michael Jon Davis and his fiancAC. Lacie Lee Liberatore, also of Rayland, OH; great granddaughters, Kilee Renee Jackfert and Shay Leigh Davis of Rayland, OH; two brothers, William David Whiteside and Fred Earl Whiteside, both of Vienna, IL; a sister, Betty Jean Adams of Chicota, TX as well as many nieces and nephews. Jennie was a faithful and devoted member of the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church. She always enjoyed her family, reading, genealogy and watching game shows. Jennie dearly loved traveling and journeyed throughout the world as an Air Force wife and later solely for pleasure. The many lives she has touched will be left with a memorable fortune of her love, kindness, generosity and deep unwavering faith in God. Friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday from 12 pm until the time of Jennie's funeral services at 2 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Tiltonsville, with Pastor Daniel Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Upland Cemetery in Yorkville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church, 106 Grandview Ave, Tiltonsville, OH 43963 or her family cemetery, Whiteside Cemetery, c/o Dave Whiteside, 2885 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Vienna, IL 62995.
