M. Irene (Benline) Eberhart, 76, of Grandview St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Sept. 14, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born May 19, 1929 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Cox) Benline. She was retired from the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Irene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and Telephone Pioneers of America. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers Bernard, William, James and Francis Benline and a sister Marie Leach. Surviving are a son Bob Nixon of Martins Ferry, a sister Louise Wood of Warwood, WV, sisters-in-law Helen Benline of Wheeling, Dubie Benline of Bridgeport, and Shirley Benline of Farmington and a brother-in-law Smitty Leach of Bridgeport. Friends will be received Fri., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
