Irene M. (Kovalick) Campbell, 87, of Colerain, OH died Tuesday, Apr. 14, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born June 6, 1927 at Lansing, OH a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Furimsky) Kovalick. She was a 1945 graduate of Bridgeport High School and attended Ohio University Belmont Campus. Irene was employed by the C & P Telephone Company of West Virginia for 9 years where she was an information operator and also worked in the plant department as an assignment clerk. She retired from Reichart Furniture Advertising Dept. after 18 years. She was a long time member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Colerain. Irene was a loving wife and mother and was devoted to her family. With her optimism, smile and constant kind heart, she enjoyed life and gave wherever there was a need. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers George and Michael Kovalick. Irene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gene C. Campbell, her children; Lugene (Daniel) Chine of Massillon, OH, William (Kelley) Campbell of Belle Center, OH and Bruce (Kristyn) Campbell of Mechanicsburg, OH, grandchildren; Paul William Finley and Wade Finley, Danielle Chine, Nicole Sillaman, Greer and Bryn Campbell, Daniel, Grace and Bethany Campbell, great grandson, Hayden Finley, brothers and sister; Steve (Jean) Kovalick of Yacolt, WA, David (Kathy) Kovalick of Barnesville, OH, Mildred Berus of Detroit, MI, Evelyn (Vincent) Suriano of Martins Ferry, and Lucille Dailey of Spring Hill, FL. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain with Rev. Timothy P. McGuire officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to Doctor's Without Borders, 333 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10001-5004.
