Irene M. Pandelos, 85, formerly of N. Third St., Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, Apr. 9, 2008 at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born Aug. 5, 1922 in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Mike Chris and Chriso N. (Koumondouros) Pandelos. She worked for the former Horne's Dept. Store, the Rose Bowl Restaurant, and for her brother at Ernie's Esquire Supper Club all of Wheeling. Irene was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Life Giving Fountain of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Nick and Chris Pandelos. Surviving are a brother Ernest M. Pandelos of Wheeling, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Sunday 12-3 and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, Apr. 14, 2008 at 11:00 am with Rev. Menelaos Papageorgiou officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Trisagion services will be held Sunday at 6:00 pm in the funeral home.
