Irene Rose Scholz 89, of Dillonvale, Ohio died Thursday February 25, 2016 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. She was born November 20, 1926 in Dillonvale, a daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve (Strayer) Slivinski. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church Dillonvale, and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years John E. Scholz Sr., also several brothers and sisters. Irene is survived by two sons John Scholz Jr. of Dillonvale, and Michael (Joni) Scholz of Oregon, a daughter Suzanne (Frank) Roberts of Port Orange, FL, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Friends are invited to a memorial visitation at Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale on Sunday February 28, 2016 from 12 till time of service at 2 pm with Msgr.
