Irene M. (Vogler) Dull, 79 of Ferryview Rd., Martins Ferry died Thur., Jul. 21, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born September 10, 1925 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Henry L. and Marie (Killeen) Vogler. Irene owned and operated Dull's Jewelers, Martins Ferry after working several years in the business. She was a retired employee of Bridgeport School District where she was the dietician at Westbrook Elementary School, and a member at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry where she sang in the choir for forty years. She was instrumental in developing the Infant of Prague Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church and Our Lady of Peace in Mt. Olivet. Irene also was a vocalist in the Ohio Valley Chorale and the NBC Network Radio Show, "Its Wheeling Steel" where she was a head liner and met her husband Jim. She also played the lead in "The Merry Widow"production under the direction of the late Henry Mazur. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Catherine Andreas and Sister Mary Angela Vogler. Surviving are her husband James J. Dull, a son J. Jeffrey Dull and his wife Jamie of Palm Coast, FL, a daughter Cindy M. McAfee and her husband Pat of Missoula, MT., a brother Henry "Bud" Vogler and his wife Margaret of Wheeling, a sister Elizabeth "Lig" Vogler of Pittsburgh and two granddaughters Danielle Dull of Bellaire and Jolene Dull of Cincinnati. Friends will be received Mon. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tues. at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas Magary and Michael M. McKay officiating. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Infant Jesus of Prague Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
