Iris G. Kemp, 91, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 13, 1921 in Kodal, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ray Ballard and Dell Bean Ballard. Iris was a member of Hunter Christian Church. She was a homemaker and a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Woodrow Kemp; sisters, Edrie Byard and Merle Phillips; brother, Glenn Ballard; and grandson, Myron Kemp. Iris is survived by her two sons, Ernest M. Kemp of Woodsfield, Ohio and Tim L. (Linda) Kemp of Bethesda, Ohio; four grandchildren, Myra Mayhugh, Alyssa Peyton, and Jesse and Jeremy Kemp; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may visit, Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Tim Kemp will be officiating.
