J. Michael "Mike" Snell, 63, of Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his home. He was born Dec. 14, 1950 in Bellaire, OH a son of the late James F. and Viola Frances (Russell) Snell. Mike retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Wheeling, WV office and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a sister Georgeann Morris. Surviving are a longtime companion and friend Sharon Blount, a son, Cristopher "C.J." (Kim) Snell of Martins Ferry, a brother-in-law, Phillip Morris of Pataskala, OH, two sisters, Ruth Snell and Janet (Gerald) Spencer both of Bellaire, OH, two brothers, James F. (Sandra) Snell of Chesapeake, VA and Antonio D. (Lisa) Snell of Cambridge, OH and two grandchildren, Bralen and Torie Snell. Family and friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, September 12, 2014 from 11 am until time of services at 1:00 pm with Minister Ruth Snell officiating.
