Obituary

J. Alfred "Al" Tennyson, 82, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in his residence.  He was born in Bridgeport on February 13, 1936.  Al was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, a graduate of Central Catholic High School and retired from Wheeling Linen Service.  He served on the Bridgeport Village Council for many years and was also a member of the Classy Chassis Car Club.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Christy (Shane) Cooke of Columbus and Carrie (Chad) West of Moundsville; a daughter-in-law, Linda Tennyson of Lansing; 5 grandchildren, Tressie Tennyson, Abbey and Alex Tabacchi, Ethan and Alex Cooke; 2 great grandchildren, Troy Anthony and Allison Logeman and 2 sisters, Camilla Miller and Peggy Ray.

Al was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Carolyn (Laipple) Tennyson; a son, Randy Tennyson and 2 sisters, Mary Radcliffe and Jackie Cornwell.

A graveside service will be held 12 pm, Saturday, December 15 in Weeks Cemetery with Father John Mucha officiating.  In keeping with Al's wishes there will be no visitation.  The family is being served by Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family or to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 in his memory.
