Jack Griffiths, 81, of Hillcrest Dr., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Aug. 2, 1926 in Martins Ferry a son of the late William C., Sr. and Gladys L. (Williams) Griffiths. He was retired from the Martins Ferry plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and a veteran of the US Army of WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Frank J. Griffiths and a sister Betty Zane Griffiths. Surviving are his wife Gloria L. (Rose) Griffiths, a son Richard Griffiths of Martins Ferry, a daughter Jacque (Dan) Fry of Martins Ferry, two brothers Donald (Eileen) Griffiths and William C. Griffiths, Jr. both of Martins Ferry, a sister Verneice McAninch of Colerain, and two grandchildren Winston Fry and Jennifer Fry both of Dublin, OH. Family and friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Military honors will be presented at the funeral home by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
