Jack E. Hill, 67, of Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Acuity Healthcare, Bellaire, OH. He was born January 27, 1952 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Elmer E. "Pete" and Virginia M. (Donley) Hill.

Jack retired as a Federal Surface Mine Inspector. He was a member of the 1st. United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #38 and Ohio River Valley Elks #231 all of Martins Ferry. Jack was Past Master and Secretary of the Ohio City Lodge #486 F.&A.M. and Legion of Honor recipient of Osiris Temple, Wheeling, WV and a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, OH. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters; Jane Caswell and Anne Marie Hill.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Deborah S. (Canter) Hill, his in-laws; Nancie Canter of Canton, OH and Ray (Georgeann) Canter of Martins Ferry, nephews and nieces; R. J. Canter, Kylie Kibble, Kara Kushmeder and Camille Petrakis and great nephews and nieces; Sophia and Kosta Petrakis and Aurora Kibble and siblings; Raymond Hill of AZ, Clarence Hill of FL, Brenda Prendergast of TX and Jonathan Hill of OH.

Family and friends will be received at the First U. Methodist Church, 307 Clay St., Martins Ferry, Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 11:30 am until time of a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tina Siroki officiating.

Masonic Ritualistic Services will be held Saturday at 12 Noon in the church.
