Jack J. Kessler, 88, of S. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport, OH. He was born November 8, 1922 in Stewartsville, OH, a son of the late Pete and Frances (Vernus) Kessler. Jack was retired from the Tower Truck Lines and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Martins Ferry. He was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris (McMillan) Kessler, three sisters Doma Custer, Ann Ice, and Virginia Hebeling and a brother Karl Kessler. Surviving are his good friends and neighbors Tom and Peggy Cusick of Martins Ferry.. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
