Jackie Ray Gatchel, 64 years of age, formerly of Dillonvale, OH, who had resided at Carriage Inn of Steubenville, OH passed away December 12, 2016 at Trinity Hospital. He was born at Martins Ferry Hospital on January 20, 1952. He is the son of the late Joseph E. and Mary Yanulis Gatchel. He was preceded in death by his stepsisters Cecilia Sierwaski and Louise Ippolitti, stepbrothers Nick and Rudy Sipcich, Joseph Jr. Gatchel, Russell Gatchel, and Francis Gatchel. Surviving are his sisters Barbara (Rudy) Micker of Dillonvale, OH, and Irene Bloom (late William Bloom) of Yorkville, Ohio. He has a large family of nieces and nephews. Jackie worked at Belco Crafts and Jeffco Workshop and had previously resided in Shaffer Plaza. Jackie was a caring and giving brother. He loved interacting with people and helping out others. He loved his craft activities and vacations. Jackie especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Sonya Micker and her fiancAC., Luke Levi. Always Remembered, never forgotten. We love you.
