JAMES E. BANE, SR, 62, of Colerain, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born July 20, 1945 in Steubenville, the son of the late Roy and Cleda (Swiger) Bane. James was Protestant by faith; he was a former member of the Hopedale American Legion; the NRA; and was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Neosho. James is survived by his wife, Vickie (Postlewait) Bane of Colerain, whom he married August 26, 1967; a son James Jr, and his fiancée Lori Starkey of Colerain; two daughters Joyce Morelli and her husband John of Columbus and Rebecca Hitchman and her husband Ted of Martins Ferry; as well as three grandchildren Ashley Nicole Morelli, JJ Morelli and Cordelia Hitchman.
