James W.
Bero
November 7, 1951 – September 25, 2016
After a 16-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, James (Jim) W. Bero, 64, died September 25, 2016, at home, with his wife by his side in Martins Ferry, OH. At his request, no services will be held. He was born November 7, 1951, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late William and Avonel (Wilson) Bero. Jim will be remembered by many friends and acquaintances as, "a genuine man". He was a person who would lovingly give to others in need and expect nothing in return. Jim's hobbies included riding motorcycles, working on projects in his garage, and being a passionate University of Michigan and Pittsburgh sports fan. He was a retired technician for Troy Group and a Presbyterian by faith. While Jim is no longer with us in the physical world, he has transitioned to his new, spiritual life above where disease and pain are no more. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Dawn (Ryan) Bero; his son James Bero of Pittsburgh, PA; his sister Judi Phillips of Bethesda, OH; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Private interment will occur at the convenience of the family. The family comes forward with sincere thankfulness to all those involved in Jim's care. In addition, a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care, Jessica Bugay, and Stephanie, his caring, dependable aide. Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH is handling arrangements.
